Kangana Ranaut, known for her bold statements and candid opinions, has recently shared her views on Bollywood celebrities, revealing why she prefers not to have friends in the industry. During a recent interview with Raj Shamani, Kangana expressed her disdain for Bollywood parties and the people associated with them, calling them ‘dumb,’ ‘self-centered,’ and likening their lives to being obsessed with protein shakes.
Kangana Ranaut elaborated on her view, stating,
Bollywood people are just so full of themselves. They are stupid, they are dumb, they are (all about) protein shake and that kind of a (life).”
She criticized the lack of substance in the conversations and interactions of Bollywood personalities, emphasizing that they are like ‘grasshoppers,’ disconnected from meaningful discussions and focused on trivial matters.
When asked if there might be any exceptions among Bollywood stars, Kangana remained skeptical, expressing surprise at the prospect of finding someone decent in the industry who can discuss topics beyond materialistic interests such as car collections.
“If they are not shooting, their routine is they wake up in the morning, do some physical training, sleep in the afternoon, again wake up, go to gym, again sleep in the night or watch TV. They are like grasshoppers, totally blank. How can you be friends with such people? They have no idea what is going on where, they have no conversations, they meet, they drink (and discuss their clothes, accessories). I will be very shocked to find a decent person in Bollywood who can talk beyond impacts or cars.”
Additionally, Kangana described attending Bollywood parties as ‘traumatic,’ highlighting her discomfort with the superficial nature of conversations and the lack of genuine interaction.
It’s trauma, a Bollywood party for me is like trauma.”
On the topic of star kids, Kangana previously referred to them as ‘uble huye ande,’ criticizing their detachment from Indian culture and their Westernized behavior.
Professionally, Kangana Ranaut continues to make headlines as she prepares for the release of her film “Emergency” and serves as a Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha from Mandi. She made her directorial debut in 2019 with “Manikarnika.”
