Over the years, as train travel evolved, onboard services also improved, with food catering being one of the most significant enhancements. The introduction of catering services in Indian Railways marked a turning point in passenger comfort. With the launch of Vande Bharat Express trains, these services have reached new levels of quality and convenience. Despite the advancements, many feel the food still can’t match the quality of five-star hotels.
However, when a travel influencer recently compared the food on the Vande Bharat Express to that of a five-star hotel, it sparked mixed reactions.

“Today, I traveled on train no. 20981 Udaipur Agra Vande Bharat Express from Udaipur to Agra, and the food was no less than what you’d get in a five-star hotel. Thank you @RailMinIndia @IRCTCofficial @AshwiniVaishnaw.”

If this is 5 star hotel food for you then I’m sure you’ve never been to a 1 star restaurant/cafe in your life.
