After previously addressing the issue of paparazzi taking photos of actresses from behind, Shefali Jariwala has once again shared her perspective on the matter.
In recent times, many Bollywood actresses have strongly discouraged paparazzi from taking pictures of them from the back, with stars like Mrunal Thakur, Janhvi Kapoor, and Palak Tiwari among them. However, Shefali Jariwala has a different take on the situation.
Shefali Jariwala’s Perspective on Paparazzi Photos from Behind The “Kanta Laga” actress recently stated that she doesn’t mind the paparazzi capturing her from behind. Her comment,
“I don’t mind, I work bloody hard on my Ass. So if it looks a little good,” has sparked interest online.
In a recent interview, Shefali further clarified her stance.
Shefali Jariwala Shares Her Thoughts on Paparazzi Attention Speaking with the Hindustan Times, Shefali expressed that, unlike other actresses, she appreciates the attention she receives from paparazzi. She mentioned that she has worked hard on her body and is okay with it being noticed. She added that it’s impossible to hide the posterior part of the body, stating:
“I work very hard on my body, so if somebody appreciates it, I am okay. I am not wearing chaddis and going out, it’s full clothing. You can’t hide your posterior, can’t wear an abaya and step out.”
Defending the Paparazzi: They’re Not Bad People During the same conversation, the 41-year-old actress mentioned that she has never found any inappropriate videos of herself on paparazzi pages. If she ever does, she said she would ask them to remove it, and they would comply. She added that the paparazzi are not bad people; they are simply doing their jobs and catering to what the audience wants. She concluded:
“I have the confidence that if something ever comes out like that, I share the equation to tell the pap to take it down and they will. There is mutual respect. They are not bad people, they are just doing their jobs and putting out what the audience wants. Everybody wants to get viral, and I understand that.”
Ordinary People Can Also Take Such Photos, Not Just Paparazzi Finally, when asked about other celebrities who object to such photos, Shefali acknowledged that it’s good people are voicing their opinions. However, she pointed out that simply asking paparazzi not to take such pictures won’t prevent it, as even regular people can snap these photos.
She stated:
“They may not be happy and are voicing their opinion. To each his own. Peeche se mat lena bolke – is that going to control anybody? Even regular people can click such pics, you cannot control all of them. Yes, if it is seems objectionable (to them), I am glad they voice it out. If the paps listen to them too, then it’s great. They usually do.”
