On August 28, an X (formerly Twitter) user shared a disturbing encounter involving a Zomato delivery man who allegedly exposed his genitals to her under the guise of a foot injury. The user reported the incident to Zomato, and the company has since revoked the delivery man’s license and terminated his employment.
The incident occurred in Ahmedabad during heavy rains when the woman had ordered coffee through the Zomato app. The delivery took 15-20 minutes longer than expected. Upon arriving, the delivery man repeatedly claimed to have a foot injury and pointed to his feet. Concerned, the woman used a flashlight to investigate, only to have the delivery man allegedly exposed himself with a smile, saying, “mam please help kardo.”
Feeling unsafe, the woman did not call for help but ran inside her home. Although she has not yet filed a formal complaint with the police, she is pursuing legal action.

Zomato’s Response
Following the complaint, Zomato assured the user that her issue was being addressed. The company took swift action, terminating the delivery man’s employment and revoking his license upon confirmation of the incident.
Public Reaction
Reactions from the public have been mixed. Some have expressed sympathy and concern for the woman’s safety, while others have criticized her, questioning the incident’s credibility based on her previous posts.

Why let a stranger (delivery person) inside your gate? You can go out and take the order yourself. It’s surprising how lazy people have become while still complaining about safety. Take responsibility for your own safety.
