Gaurav Taneja, widely known as Flying Beast, is one of India’s top YouTubers, admired for his family-centric content. He is married to Ritu Rathee, a pilot and influential mom blogger, and together they have two daughters, Kaira (Rasbhari) and Chaitravi (Pihu). Their vlogs showcasing a happy and harmonious family life have earned them the title of YouTube’s favorite power couple.
However, recent reports suggest their marriage is going through a rough patch, with rumors even hinting at divorce.
Amid these speculations, an old video of Gaurav Taneja resurfaced on social media, in which he confessed to feeling neglected by Ritu after the birth of their children.
During their participation in Star Plus’ couple reality show Smart Jodi, Gaurav revealed that their marriage hit a low after the birth of their first child. He felt Ritu no longer prioritized him, not due to issues with the baby, but because she became deeply involved in her responsibilities as a mother. Gaurav said:
“At one point in time, I thought that Ritu doesn’t love me anymore as I wasn’t her priority.
Gaurav explained that Ritu’s life dramatically changed after their daughter was born. She was completely immersed in motherhood, handling tasks such as feeding and managing the baby’s sleep schedule. As Gaurav had to continue working, he felt isolated during this time, unable to help. He said:
“Every couple goes through a difficult phase wherein they feel like things are falling apart. Ritu and I also faced such situation when we became parents for the first time. Ritu was totally engrossed with the mommy duties. She was going through a lot. From figuring out baby’s sleeping cycle to feeding her and everything else. I wasn’t around her as I had to go to work.
Despite these challenges, Gaurav and Ritu were able to work through their issues. They later discussed how both felt neglected and realized they needed better communication. Determined to avoid similar problems when their second child was born, Gaurav explained:
“I spoke to Ritu and asked her if she loved me anymore, and she stated that she felt the same about me. We sat down and spoke about the issue. I realised that I wasn’t able to understand her and the routine change that happened with the baby’s arrival. I was a first-time father, too, and didn’t know what to expect with the baby entering a couple’s life. I believe a lot of couples who live in the nuclear setup go through this phase.
Recently, amid divorce rumors, Gaurav posted a cryptic note on Instagram on September 28, 2024, written in Devnagri: “Joi Joi mohe pyaar kare, soi mohe have.” The message implied that he reciprocates love from those who show it to him. He also wrote a heartfelt message, stating that, for the sake of his children and their mother, he would refrain from explaining his position further.

While Gaurav and Ritu have previously overcome difficulties in their marriage, fans are now concerned about the latest reports suggesting a possible split. Gaurav’s mysterious social media post has fueled more speculation, leaving many wondering what the future holds for the beloved YouTube couple.
