Audience Member Speaks Out
Social media user Mohit Khubani, a Mumbai-based fitness enthusiast, claims he was present during the infamous episode of India’s Got Latent featuring Ranveer Allahbadia, also known as BeerBiceps. In a widely shared video, Mohit detailed the events that unfolded after Ranveer made a controversial joke about watching parents have sex.
To verify his presence at the show, Mohit stated that he would share a screenshot of his ticket in his Instagram Story. His video has already amassed over 2 million views.
Ranveer and Samay’s Immediate Reaction
According to Mohit, Ranveer repeatedly asked the contestant if the joke had offended him, showing concern for the participant’s feelings. While acknowledging that an apology might not fix everything, Mohit emphasized that Ranveer ensured the contestant was comfortable. Samay Raina also checked in on the contestant’s well-being.
“The contestant actually won the show. During the celebrations, Ranveer hugged him and apologized once again for the joke. Samay also praised the contestant’s performance,” Mohit added.

Comedians Defended Amid Backlash
Mohit, a long-time fan of Samay Raina, defended the comedian’s character, calling him “the most humble guy” he had ever met. He argued that comedy should be seen as distinct from real-life situations and that people should be able to enjoy humor without taking offense.
“If we start labeling every joke as offensive, there will be no comedy left,” he remarked, echoing Samay Raina’s views on the art form.
Past Contestant Shares Perspective
Arpita Mishra, a former contestant on India’s Got Latent, also weighed in on the controversy. She recalled facing harsh trolling after a lackluster performance but praised comedians like Samay Raina, Balraj, Rahul, Kenny, and Hozay for their support.
She highlighted that Samay even asked for her consent before airing certain footage, reinforcing that the show prioritizes contestant comfort.
“Bhai, hum gaye roast hone ke liye. Hume issue nahi hai… duniya ko kya problem hai? (We went there knowing we’d be roasted. We have no issues—why is everyone else making it one?),” she wrote in Mohit’s post.
