Diljit Dosanjh, who has been enjoying great success in both his singing and acting careers, recently responded to a content creator’s humorous video about the steep ticket prices for his Dil-Luminati tour in India. The ticket prices, ranging from Rs. 15,000 to Rs. 25,000, have sparked conversation among fans and influencers alike.
Recently, comedian Saloni Gaur created a funny video highlighting the craze over the high-priced tickets for Diljit’s concert. Playing dual roles in the skit, Saloni humorously advised viewers not to spend such a large sum on concert tickets.
She joked that, regardless of where one sits, everyone would look like “ants” from a distance. The video cleverly captured the pros and cons of attending live concerts, suggesting investing in other things like shoes instead. The humorous twist came when Saloni’s host character asked if she had missed out on tickets, only for her “guest” persona to play it cool and uninterested, delivering perfect comic timing.

The video quickly went viral, and Diljit himself hit the like button, acknowledging the humor in the situation.
Earlier, influencer Saumya Sahni also criticized the ticket prices, questioning why an Indian artist would charge such high fees in his home country when he already earns well overseas. Saumya pointed out that Diljit’s fanbase primarily comprises middle-class people who connect with him through his regional language and music.

Adding to the conversation, Diljit’s manager, Sonali Singh, revealed in an interview that the North American leg of Diljit’s tour generated a revenue of 28 million USD (Rs. 234 crore). The overwhelming demand was evident, as tickets for the first two shows sold out within hours, with around 80,000 people on the waiting list for a potential third show.
What are your thoughts on Diljit’s reaction to the video?
