However, her announcement sparked rumors on social media, leading some to mock the program, question its legitimacy, and speculate about how she gained admission. Despite this, Navya remains composed and is enjoying this new chapter of her life.
Navya’s Professor Addresses Admission Speculations
Since Navya announced her academic journey at IIM Ahmedabad, many have been curious about how she was admitted. Some questioned the credibility of her admission, with a few even attributing it to her celebrity background. In response, Navya’s IIM Ahmedabad associate professor, Promila Agarwal, defended her and clarified the situation.
Taking to X, Promila explained that Navya has a strong curriculum vitae (CV). She also noted that it’s possible to gain admission without taking the CAT exam. Promila humorously added that she looked forward to seeing Navya’s posts about the challenging life at IIM Ahmedabad.

Navya Responds to Haters by Celebrating Her Achievement
Navya Naveli Nanda generally avoids engaging with online trolls. However, this time, she decided not to let them off easily. Navya responded in her own style by sharing a photo on her Instagram stories, celebrating her special day by cutting a cake. She also thanked her mentor who had helped her prepare for the exam.
Regarding Navya’s educational and professional background, it’s clear that she is not inexperienced. She graduated from Fordham University in the United States with a bachelor’s degree in digital technology and UX design in 2020. Additionally, she runs her own non-profit organization, Project Naveli, and is actively involved in her family’s business.
