Twinkle Khanna Was Asked If Akshay Kumar Is Her ‘Reel’ Husband. She Gave A Sarcastic Reply

Twinkle Khanna Was Asked If Akshay Kumar Is Her ‘Reel’ Husband. She Gave A Sarcastic Reply: After few critically acclaimed films like Airlift, Toilet and Rustom Akshay Kumar is now gearing up for his next super hit sensible movie ‘ Padman’. The trailer has already taken the internet by storm.

The super star of B town is all set to educate people about menstruation, in his latest Padman. Produced by Twinkle Khanna’s Mrs. Funnybones production and directed by R.Balki, this movie star casts more prominent actors like Radhika Apte and Sonam Kapoor.

The movie is based on Arunachalam Muruganathan who invented low cost sanitary napkins for women in rural areas. The movie’s song ‘Aaj se Teri” is released on the film front and at the event , Twinkle was asked if she could have followed the steps of Radhika and had been the onscreen wife of Akshay. In her own witty style, she replied “Mela Dillon Ka (Laughs). I guess I am far better off behind the cameras.”

On a serious note, at the event Twinkle also added that “ We are making sure that school girls and supervisors watch this film.” The Trailer starts with a strong note wherein Akshay is trying to wear a sanitary pad. Twinkle added on this that “ R.Balki convinced me that Akshay should play this part.”

Few weeks before the event, Akshay was asked about starring in a movie dealing with the topic of menstruation, the actor then said, “ If you change nothing, nothing will change. It’s not about being bold but rather about being sensible and breaking the taboos that holds us back.

I have lived with women all my life, yet I have learnt more about the topic while making this film than ever before. This is not the Stone Age, menstruation is just natural.”

A country where menstruation is still spoken off as a shameful sin, we hope for a change in the societal thinking with the release of Padman. The inventor Arunachalam is a Coimbatore School dropout who made his life’s mission to provide sanitary napkins at a minimal cost to the village women.

The unconventional subject was pushed by Twinkle Khanna. Murgunathan, known as “India’s Menstrual Man” has already been documented and reported by the media many a times.

The Padma Shri award winner now rubs his shoulders with Bill Gates and James Cameron and so does he definitely calls for a Movie! The movie is set to release on January 26th 2018.
