We go into the cinema halls and watch movies with such great ease and some popcorn. But ever wondered how much efforts go into making a movie? Takes after take and relentless shoots, that’s how a movie gets ready for the silver screen.

It’s pretty easy to hurl remarks on a film sitting in an AC multiplex. But it’s certainly not easy to make s film for that takes too much of manpower, finances and efforts. At times it takes months for a film to be completed. Filmmaking is certainly not an easy task.


So, we thought of bringing you the durations that your favourite Bollywood movies took to shoot.

1. Bareilly Ki Barfi: 60 Days


This was a beautiful movie and a very subtle and sober one. This flick took 60 days to wrap up the movie. The movie was shot in Bareilly and Lucknow.

2. Jolly LLB 2: 30 Days

The sequel of Jolly LLB was shot in just 30 days. This was a record of its own kind and Akshay made news for just completing the movie in 30 days. The movie was directed by Subhash Kapoor.

3. Kaabil: 77 Days

The movie was supposed to be shot in 88 days. But things went so smooth that shooting finished in just 77 days. It was a great movie to watch.

4. Tanu Weds Manu Returns: 30 Days

Kangana was given 50 days to compete her part of the film. She wrapped up the shooting of her role in just 30 days.

5. Ki and Ka: 45 Days

The movie featuring Arjun Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor took 45 days to wrap up. The movie was directed by R Balki.

6. Houseful 3: 38 Days

Once again Akshay did things well in time. He completed his time in just 38 days. The movie had a lot of entertainment to offer to everyone.

7. Haramkhor: 16 days

Shot in a small village and real locations, this movie only took 16 days to be wrapped up.
