Made with a budget of 800 million INR this movie has been a huge commercial success. It has become the second highest grossing Bollywood movie of 2017 with net income of 300 crores.


Babumoshai Bandookbaaz:

The action crime drama features actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Bengali beauty Bidita Bag. Made with a budget of just 5 crores the movie went on to make 8.23 crores at the box office, grossing a 64% profit.

Judwaa 2:

This Varun Dhawan starrer is currently the highest grosser of 2017 with income of 138 crores. The film was made with 65 crores and already has made a profit of 73 crores. It is still going strong in the theaters.


The success of this film truly shows that content is the real king. Made with a budget of just 9 crores this film has got both critical and commercial success. It has already made 22.9 crores at the box office which is a profit of 146%. The movie has also become India’s entry in the Oscars.

Shubh Mangal Savdhan:

The Ayushman film was a huge success at the box office despite the controversial theme of erectile dysfunction. The film has earned 41.90 crores. It has returned the producers 147% profit as it was made on a budget of 17 crores.


Despite clashing with Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees at the box office, Hrithik Roshan’s Kaabil has managed to gross 126.85 crores. The budget of the film was just 50 crores. It has made 76.85 crores profit.

The film faced much controversy at the time of release. Indian censor board recommended number of cuts to the film due to the controversial subject of the film. Despite that this film which was made on budget of 7 crores earned 18.05 crores at the box office.

Badrinath Ki Dulhaniya: 

This film is one of the highest grossers this year. The chemistry of Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt ensured that this film, made on a budget of 45 crores ended up making 71 crore profit in India. In percentages the profit is 159.11percent.

Jolly LLB 2 : 

Akshay Kumar made sure this court room drama was a huge hit. Audience and critics both praised the film and it went on to make 160% profit. Made with the budget of 45 crores, the movie grossed 117 crores worldwide.

Hindi Medium: 

This film has earned the second highest profit in percentages, 213% to be exact. The social satire was liked by audiences due to the hard hitting content of the film. However it also did brilliant business. Made on a budget of 22 crores this movie made 45 crores all over.

Toilet Ek Prem Katha:

This movie was made on an educational social subject about cleanliness. It was made tax free in many states in the country. This Akshay Kumar film was made on a budget of 24 crores and made 133.60 crores at the box office. In terms of percentage it is 456.66 percent profit, making it a very successful film of 2017.
