Karan Johar is one of the most popular celebrities in India. He is one of the biggest and finest movie producers in India and has a massive fan following on social media.
Over the years, we have seen Karan Johar host and judge many award functions and television shows in India and make a good connect with audience. He is a very good speaker and has a good command on Hindi and English languages.
Karan is also a big socialite and he is mostly present all the big events and personal parties of Bollywood. From veterans to young guns, Mr. Johar shares a good bond with most of the artists of the Hindi Film Industry.
However, recently, KJo made a factual mistake while talking about the Shenshah of Bollywood, Mr. Amitabh Bachchan. While shooting for an episode of Unforgettables with filmmaker Ramesh Sippy, Karan Johar said that his father and Mr. Bachchan used to talk in Punjabi very fluently. He emphasised that Big B could speak fluent Punjabi without having any Punjabi connection and it’s more of a ‘When in Rome, do as the Romans do’ things.
“I thought everyone in the film industry was Punjabi because they all spoke in Punjabi. Down the fact that Mr Bachchan who’s not Punjabi spoke fluent Punjabi because it was like ‘When you are in Rome, Do as the Romans do’,” Karan Johar said.
However, Big B being Big B, corrected Karan Johar and told him about his Punjabi connection immediately on Twitter.
“No Karan .. I speak Punjabi because my Mother was as Sikh ; that makes me a half Sikh and so I speak Punjabi .. !!!!”
