1. Mera Naam Joker:


The biggest showman, Raj Kapoor’s Mera Naam Joker is no doubt a classic movie and is loved by all. This movie never fails to bring tears in our eyes. But do you know this movie was a super flop. Raj Kapoor became almost bankrupt because of this movie.

2. Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro :

Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro is one of the funniest movies ever made in India. But this movie too had flopped upon it’s time of release. Maybe our country wasn’t ready for an epic movie like this but now people had recognized the value of this masterpiece.

3. Andaaz Apna Apna:

Andaaz Apna Apna is an all time classic and we youngsters just can’t get enough of this movie. But do you know Andaaz Apna Apna was released with the movie Suhaag, starring Akshay Kumar and Ajay Devgn. Suhaaf emerged out to be hit while Andaaz Apna Apna drastically flopped at the box office.

4. Silsila:

A movie starring Amitabh Bachchan, Rekha and Jaya Bachchan. Inspite of having a great cast and a superb story this movie flopped at the box office. But it somehow publicized Amitabh and Rakha’s affair.

5. Agneepath:

Who wasn’t in love with Vijay Deenanath Chauhan? Inspite of having Amitabh Bachchan, a great story line, great songs…etc,  this movie failed to create the magic at the box-office. But the movie got the critical acclaim. The story of the movie was too good thus resulting in a remake of this classic.

6.  Lamhe:

This movie wasn’t taken too well by the audience, people thought it was incestuous as the main lead Anil Kapoor was in love with Sri Devi who get married with someone else and decades later daughter of Sri Devi, which was played by Sri Devi fells in love with her mother’s ex-lover.

7. Gulaal:

Gulaal was a genius movie but nobody realized it’s worth when this movie released.But over the years, this movie has become a classic and now people are getting to know it’s worth.

8. Nayak:

Oh god! what a movie it was.We all saw this movie on television and loved every bit of it. Anil Kapoor was at his best but still this movie failed to work at the box office.

9. Swades:

This movie is not only a classic but is also very inspiring. We all got goosebumps in so many parts of the movie, don’t lie! Maybe people were expecting something non-different from Shah Rukh Khan just like the time when Fan released.

10. Lakshaya:

This movie failed because people were expecting another Dil Chahta Hai from Farhan Akhtar. Lakshaya was a very different movie from Dil Chahta Hai but was equally beautiful and inspiring as well.
