Renowned YouTuber and educator from Bihar, Faizal Khan, popularly known as Khan Sir, has reportedly been admitted to the hospital following health complications. Known for his engaging teaching style and motivational life lessons, Khan Sir enjoys immense popularity online, boasting 300K followers on Instagram and 3.92 million YouTube subscribers.
Hospitalization in Patna
On December 8, 2024, Khan Sir was hospitalized in Patna after participating in student protests. Reports suggest that he had been detained by the police during the protests before being rushed to a hospital.
Medical sources indicate that Khan Sir’s condition, initially critical due to dehydration and fatigue, has stabilized. Photos of him lying on a hospital bed, hooked up to a nebulizer and IV drip, have been circulating online, prompting an outpouring of concern from his followers. Addressing the situation, Khan Sir urged his students to refrain from spreading rumors about his health on social media.
The Incident at the Protest
Khan Sir had joined the protests after candidates for the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) were subjected to a lathi charge. Although it was speculated that he was detained along with several students, the police later denied arresting him.
Khan Sir’s Journey
Hailing from a lower-middle-class family in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, Khan Sir’s father was a contractor, and his mother a homemaker. An alumnus of the University of Allahabad, he holds double master’s degrees in Science and Arts.
His YouTube channel, Khan GS Research Centre, launched on April 25, 2019, catapulted him to fame. He reportedly earns Rs. 20 lakh per month, with an estimated net worth of Rs. 5 crore.
