The feud between Punjabi music sensations AP Dhillon and Diljit Dosanjh has once again made headlines. Amid ongoing disagreements, AP Dhillon appears to have taken a veiled jab at Diljit’s Dil-Luminati concert, addressing the controversial issue of concert tickets being sold out in seconds at premium prices.
Ticket Sales Controversy
During an interview on The Ranveer Show, AP Dhillon shared his thoughts on the “pricey” ticket sales tactics used in India’s concert scene. Without naming anyone, he criticized the marketing strategies that promote concerts as “sold out” within seconds. He suggested that these practices force genuine fans to pay inflated prices to attend their favorite artist’s events.
AP Dhillon said:
“India mein abhi crisis aa jayega agar isi hisab se chalta raha. Artists are being unfair with their own fans ki 15 seconds mein sell out ho gaye shows. Kuchh bhi sell out nahi hua hai. It’s all a way of marketing. Promoters ko ticket de dete hain. Their fans, ab unko wait karna padta hai, aur higher price mein ticket khareedna padta hai.”
He went on to state that while he considered adopting such tactics himself, he ultimately rejected the idea, prioritizing fairness toward his fans. AP expressed concern over the commercialization of music, remarking that the industry has turned into a “dirty game,” overshadowing the true connection between artists and their audience.
At some point, humein bhi yehi laga, should we play this game? But I’m like no, we can’t go to bed knowing that jinhone show dekhne aana tha, humne unke sath aise kiya. You name it, koi bhi show ho raha hai jo sold out hai, mujhe batao, 2,000 tickets chahiye, kal hi dilwa dunga. Aaj hi dilwa dunga. Log music ko abhi game ki tarah khel rahe hain. So usi mein mazza jo hai kharab ho gaya.”
AP Dhillon and Diljit Dosanjh’s Ongoing Feud
The tension between the two artists began when AP Dhillon accused Diljit Dosanjh of blocking him on Instagram. Although Diljit denied the claim by sharing proof that AP was not on his block list, the controversy escalated with exchanges of cryptic remarks and social media posts.
AP Dhillon later shared a screen recording to prove that he had been blocked initially and was subsequently unblocked. He added a note expressing his reluctance to engage in the dispute but felt compelled to respond due to the backlash.
Fans React
The public remains divided over AP Dhillon’s remarks, with some applauding his honesty while others see it as part of the ongoing feud. As the controversy unfolds, it highlights broader concerns about fairness and transparency in the entertainment industry.
