In a candid interview, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan spoke about how her life priorities shifted after the birth of her daughter, Aaradhya Bachchan. Aishwarya, who shares Aaradhya with her husband Abhishek Bachchan, welcomed their daughter on November 16, 2011.
Since then, Aaradhya has often been seen accompanying her mother to various events, shoots, and vacations. Aishwarya emphasized that Aaradhya is her top priority, stating, “She comes first, everything else is secondary.”
In an interview with Times Now, Aishwarya reflected on how she has always balanced many responsibilities from a young age, starting her day early. However, since Aaradhya’s birth, her focus has completely shifted toward her daughter.
“It’s something I’ve grown up with. From the time I was 18, I’ve been juggling many responsibilities. My day begins at 5.30 am. It has been that way from the time I remember. Of course, after Aaradhya, my priorities have changed completely. She comes first, everything else is secondary.”
Aishwarya and Abhishek also strive to ensure Aaradhya has as normal a life as possible, despite the busy schedules of their superstar family. The actress mentioned that Aaradhya enjoys singing and dancing at home to her parents’ and grandfather’s songs.
Although Aaradhya has a nanny, Aishwarya prefers doing most things for her daughter herself, acknowledging that it’s not always possible due to her work commitments.
Aaradhya does have a nanny. In fact, I am told I should have two of them because the one that I have tends to take off on long holidays. But it doesn’t really matter. I like doing everything for Aaradhya myself, though with my kind of schedule, it is not always possible to do so.”
She also credited her mother for helping out during shoots and praised her supportive husband, Abhishek, adding that balancing motherhood and work requires a lot of time management.
Every homemaker who is a working woman is a hero. It requires a lot of juggling with time. And a supportive husband, which I luckily have,”
Aishwarya has often shared how having Aaradhya keeps the child in her alive, describing her daughter as an “angel” who brings out the girlish side of her.
Being girlish is easy. Having a lovely little girl like Aaradhya in my life – that angel keeps the child in me alive. I will forever be grateful to God for this blessing called Aaradhya in my life,”
The mother-daughter duo shares a close bond and is frequently seen together at public events, often turning heads with their stylish appearances. Recently, Aaradhya accompanied her mother to Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s wedding, where Aishwarya attended separately from Abhishek.
