Flying business class is usually synonymous with comfort and luxury, but for Vineeth K., his recent journey with Air India was anything but. Traveling to Newark for work, Vineeth shared his harrowing experience with Air India’s business class, detailing a series of issues that turned his trip into a ‘nightmare.’
When he boarded Air India flight AI 105, Vineeth faced numerous problems.
The flight, delayed by 25 minutes, presented him with a business-class seat far exceeding his expectations. He posted photos of worn-out seats with dirty covers, and to make matters worse, many of the seats were non-functional.
“Yesterday’s flight was no less than a nightmare,” Vineeth wrote. “The seats were not clean, worn out, and of the 35 seats, at least 5 were non-functional. The take-off was delayed by 25 minutes. After settling in for 30 minutes post take-off, I wanted to sleep (at 3:30 AM) and discovered that my seat didn’t recline to a flat bed because it was broken.”
The ordeal continued with the food service. Vineeth described being served uncooked food and stale fruits, which he claimed everyone onboard returned. Additionally, the in-flight entertainment system was non-functional, displaying a ‘Not Found’ error when he tried to use it.
To top off his unpleasant experience, Vineeth discovered upon arrival that his luggage had been broken.

Air India responded to his post, stating,
“Dear Sir, we understand your disappointment and regret the hassle you faced. Believe us, we never want our passengers to have this kind of experience. We are highlighting this internally for further review.”
This incident is not an isolated one, as other passengers have also expressed dissatisfaction with Air India’s services.
