Following revelations from the event manager of Aditya Narayan’s live concert regarding the incident that led the singer to confront a spectator, Aditya has finally addressed the matter.
Aditya Narayan, son of renowned singer Udit Narayan, has carved his path in the music industry, albeit without achieving the same level of fame as his father. Despite beginning his musical journey at the age of 21 and hosting popular shows like Indian Idol, as well as participating in Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 9, Aditya often finds himself the subject of criticism. Recently, a video surfaced showing the singer losing his composure during a show, sparking further controversy. Amidst the ongoing discussion, Aditya has now spoken out.
In a brief exchange with Times Now, Aditya Narayan was questioned about an incident at a live concert in Rungta R2 College, Bhilai, Chattisgarh, where he reportedly confronted a spectator. However, the singer-turned-host declined to comment directly, stating that he is solely accountable to a higher authority. Aditya expressed,
“Honestly, no comments. I’m answerable to the almighty. That’s all.”
The video from the concert, which emerged on February 12, 2024, depicted Aditya Narayan reacting aggressively towards a fan who was recording the event.
Witnesses reported that Aditya grabbed the individual’s hand and struck it with his microphone before discarding the fan’s phone into the crowd. This behavior garnered widespread shock and criticism from netizens.
In the aftermath of the incident, the event manager shed light on why Aditya reacted in such a manner.
According to the manager’s interview with Zoom, the spectator in question was not affiliated with the college and was persistently disrupting the performance.
Despite this hiccup, the show reportedly continued for an additional two hours.
This isn’t the first time Aditya Narayan has found himself embroiled in controversy. A viral video from 2017 captured him engaging in a heated exchange with airline staff at an airport. In response, Aditya’s father, Udit Narayan, emphasized that he and his wife, Deepa, instilled proper values in Aditya. However, he did not condone his son’s behavior, acknowledging it as unacceptable.
As opinions swirl regarding Aditya Narayan’s recent actions, the conversation surrounding his conduct continues to unfold.
