Since her standout role in The Kerala Story, actress Adah Sharma has been in the limelight, receiving numerous offers for new roles and endorsements. Recently, she moved into a new rental property that has garnered significant attention because it was previously owned by the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput.
Sushant Singh Rajput, who tragically passed away in 2020, had a remarkable career that spanned from soap operas to Bollywood. Despite his success, his legacy has been clouded by various conspiracy theories surrounding his death, with claims of murder and industry harassment.
Since Sushant’s passing, his Mont Blanc residence in Bandra West, Mumbai, had remained vacant until Adah took it on. Given that Adah Sharma now lives in the flat where SSR once resided, many have been curious about her experience there. In a recent interview, Adah shared insights into her new home and her feelings about it.
The 4BHK apartment, located on the sixth floor of the Mont Blanc building, offers stunning sea views and is reportedly worth several crores.
Adah Sharma confirmed that she is not the owner but is renting the property.
At the announcement event for Vikram Bhatt’s upcoming films on August 12, 2024, Adah clarified her rental situation. She explained that her grandmother assists with the rent, while she and her mother live there. She humorously noted:
“I took that flat on rent. The Rs. 378 crores earned by The Kerala Story (2023) are not mine! Not just me, even my grandmother contributes to it. She argued that since she also resides there, she’ll also pay the rent. My mother doesn’t work, so she doesn’t contribute, but she cooks great food for us.”
During the same interview, Adah revealed that the flat is unfurnished. This topic arose when Vikram Bhatt jokingly suggested that Adah must not believe in furniture. Adah laughed and explained that her previous home was also without furniture. She elaborated:
“It means that I like space. I like dancing, and when I dance, I don’t want anything to get in the way. In Mumbai, we pay for space, and if I’m staying in such a beautiful house, I’d like to move around freely! That’s why there’s no furniture in my house.”
Adah’s choice to live in an unfurnished space reflects her preference for openness and freedom, while also giving the apartment a fresh perspective from a beloved star’s former residence.
