A burning testimony of such deep-rooted mentality was showcased on Kamya Punjabi’s Instagram post which conveyed the world of her marriage with Shalabh Dang.
On February 10th, before the nation was overrun by the novel coronavirus pandemic, a happy couple in Kamya Punjabi and Shalabh Dang tied the knot and as the Punjabi actress took to Instagram to articulate her glee through pictures from her haldi and mehendi ceremonies, congratulatory messages from her colleagues and friends started deluging.
Standing out to be the most disruptive man, the Instagram user expressed her ‘non-important’ remark on second marriage. She put forward a question, writing:
“You already have 2 children so why you do it? I mean phir shadi”
It’s translation comes out as: How could Kamya think of a second marriage when he already has a daughter with her first husband? Just to be more informative, Kamya has a 10 year old daughter with her first husband, Shalabh.
Now, friends are always known to have your back in every possible situation and so to her foremost defence came one of her best buddies, Kavita Kaushik. Her response to the troll was:
“@lima418 cos you get married so you have a partner/companion/best friend /soulmate for life! There is life beyond producing children, don’t find faults in people who try to build their lives and find happiness, try to be happy for others instead of asking silly questions at such a happy time of theirs.”
