‘Maal is code word for cigarette’ Deepika Padukone Makes Bizzare Claims During Investigation By NCB

Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone, who is being interrogated by the NCB on Saturday in a drug probe which is linked with the tragic and mysterious death of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput, who was found dead in his house on 14th June, has given clarification on her drug chats.

Deepika Padukone, who is one of the top-leading actresses of Bollywood, was grilled by the NCB for nearly 5 hours in Mumbai. She was summoned by the anti-drug agency after her chats with her manager Karishma Prakash about drugs were surfaced.



Deepika Padukone was confronted with her manager Karishma Prakash, after which the actress admitted her 2017 conversations about drugs.

For the unversed, the Whatsapp chats that date back to the year 2017, Deepika Padukone has asked Karishma for ‘maal’ and ‘hash’.

While she has admitted the conversation with the manager, but she has denied ‘consuming drugs’ and in her defense, she said that ‘maal’ is a code word for cigarette and ‘hash’ is the code word for weed. Meanwhile, NCB has seized her mobile phone for further details in connection with the ongoing drug probe.

Apart from Deepika Padukone, Bollywood actresses Shraddha Kapoor and Sara Ali Khan were also investigated by the anti-drug agency on Saturday in the ongoing drug probe in Sushant’s death case.

Earlier, the agency had arrested Rhea Chakraborty, who is the prime accused in the death case of SSR, after she confessed of consumption and drug peddling. The NCB has said that the 28-year-old was an “active member” of a drug syndicate and she used to procure drugs for Sushant Singh Rajput.
