Fans across the nation were left heartbroken after the shocking news of Bollywood actor Irrfan Khan’s demise came out. He was one of the most versatile and talented actors of Bollywood, having given many amazing performances.

Irrfan Khan who was last seen in a comedy-drama ‘Angrezi Medium’ alongside Kareena Kapoor Khan and Radhika Mohan, was admitted to Mumbai’s Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, where he was getting treated for a colon infection that took his life today in the morning.

These were the some of the many words that Irrfan expressed in a heart felt note he wrote in 2018 opening up about his fight with cancer. And a man of few words and an actor of silent expressions with his deep eyes and his memorable actions on screen. It’s saddening that this day, we have to bring forward the news of him passing away. Irrfan was a strong soul, someone who fought till the very end and always inspired everyone who came close to him. After having been struck by lightning in 2018 with the news of a rare cancer, he took life soon after as it came and he fought the many battles that came with it. Surrounded by his love, his family for whom he most cared about, he left for heaven abode, leaving behind truly a legacy of his own. We all pray and hope that he is at peace. And to resonate and part with his words he had said, ‘As if I was tasting life for the first time, the magical side of it’.”

As soon as the news of Irrfan Khan’s demise came out, social media was flooded with posts and messages from the fans, celebrities, and sports fraternity, paying their heartfelt tribute to the greatest actor.

Television actress Munmun Dutta, who is popular for her role as Babita Ji also paid her heartfelt tribute to Irrfan Khan. She took to her Twitter and wrote a heart-touching post that read:

Had a nagging feeling last night when I heard about his sudden admission to a hospital. And then this news !! Oh I haven’t felt this loss for anyone the way I feel 4 #IrrfanKhan sir. I was a huge huge fan. HUGE. Gone too soon. Big loss !
What an incredible actor #Restinpeace 🙏🏻”
