Sonu Nigam Gets Trolled For Spreading False Information About Coronavirus

Bollywood singer Sonu Nigam’s flight to India from Dubai was canceled recently as a part of precautionary measures taken by the government against the outspread of the dangerous coronavirus pandemic. Sonu Nigam is currently in Dubai, where he is living in self-isolation with his family and will return back to India when the situation of the virus will improve.

Meanwhile, as the number of coronavirus infected people has been increasing rapidly, Prime Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced about ‘Janta Curfew’ on March 22, from 7 am to 9 pm for containment of Coronavirus.

Recently, Sonu Nigam shared a video on his social media where he supported the decision of Prime Minister Modi and announced a live concert on his social media accounts in support of PM Narendra Modi’s Janta curfew.

Sonu Nigam also urged everyone to adhere to the 14-hour-curfew announced by PM Modi. However, while asking everyone to remain indoors and follow the preventive measures given by PM Modi, Sonu Nigam went on to say that the step has been taken because ‘Coronavirus ends within 12 hours’, which is false information, as per sources.

While appreciating the ‘legendary decision’ of PM Modi, in the video, Sonu Nigam said:

Coronavirus 12 ghante mein nishkriya ho jata hai aur Janata Curfew 14 ghante k liye hai”

(Which roughly translates to: Coronavirus becomes inactive in 12 hours and Janta Curfew is for 14 hours.)

The video of the same has been going viral on the internet. Have a look:

Netizens were quick to take notice of the false information given by Sonu Nigam about coronavirus. Netizens are now trolling the singer left, right and center for spreading fake information about the virus.
