Sushma Swaraj’s Husband Shared A Heart-Warming Post On Her Birthday

Former Union Minister for External Affairs, Sushma Swaraj, who passed away in August 2019, would have turned 68 on the 14th of February, otherwise known as Valentine’s Day.

Ahead of Sushma Swaraj’s birthday, the current External Affairs Minister, S Jaishankar announced that the government will be renaming the Pravasi Bhartiya Kendra as Sushma Swaraj Bhawan and the Foreign Service Institute as the Pravasi Bhartiya Kendra as Sushma Swaraj Bhawan and the Foreign Service Institute in the honor of Late. Sushma Swaraj.

Swaraj Kaushal, the husband of Sushma Swaraj, took to his Twitter and thanked PM Narendra Modi and said that the family is very thankful for the honor. He wrote:

Thank you Prime Minister @narendramodi for this kind gesture on the eve of her birthday. We as a family are grateful for this honour. – Bansuri Swaraj & @governorswaraj,”

Sushma Swaraj and Swaraj Kaushal’s love story that began at the height of the Emergency period on July 13, 1975 is hailed for having ‘one of the greatest love stories in modern India’. The couple was married for 44 years until the demise of Sushma Swaraj last year.

In another tweet, Swaraj Kaushal shared a picture of Sushma Swaraj, where she can be seen smiling while celebrating her birthday. Her eyes are filled with happiness. Sharing the picture, Swaraj Kaushal wrote:
