Taapsee Pannu Talks About Twitterati Calling Her Movie ‘Thappad’ A Tight Slap On ‘Kabir Singh’

Taapsee Pannu is on a roll these days as she is all ready to set the theatres on fire with her brilliant performance. She has impressed one and all with the recently released trailer of his upcoming movie ‘Thappad’.

The trailer of the movie is already a hit and has been receiving praise from all around. The trailer will make a shiver run down your spine with his content and amazing storyline.

The movie ‘Thappad’ which is directed by Anubhav Sinha revolves around the journey of a woman, a role played by Taapsee who fights for justice after she is slapped by her husband.

However, as soon as the trailer of the movie was released netizens were reminded of Kabir Singh’s slap scene. Netizens couldn’t help themselves but call it a “tight slap” on the movie “Kabir Singh” and director Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s face.

Opening up about the comparison, Taapsee Pannu said that the movie isn’t about slapping each other. She said:

“We don’t make a film to slap one another. Also, Kabir Singh was not just about slapping, so please stop making Thappad all about Kabir Singh. We started work on this film much before that film came. Also, it’s not just Kabir Singh that normalized domestic violence. Many of our movies are guilty of that.”

Talking about the movie, she wants Thappad to be the torch-bearer of a change for the better. She said:
