The recent incident involving popular writer and actor, Tigmanshu Dhulia not just restores our faith in humanity but is yet another testimony of the power of social media.

Recently, Tigmanshu Dhulia took to his Twitter and revealed how his niece was traveling to Bangalore via train and was being harassed by four drunk boys. The writer shared the details of his niece and the train she was traveling with and revealed how railway helpline numbers weren’t responding to his niece.

Asking for help, Tigmanshu Dhulia wrote:

“My niece is travelling in udyan express to Banglore berth B3 she is being harassed by four drunk boys no helpline numbers are responding and she is scared can someone help.”

Soon after he asked out for help from Twitterati, people tarted tagging Piyush Goyal, Minister of Railways and Commerce in their tweets asking them to help his niece out. Many of them even called helpline numbers and reported about the situation of Tigmanshu’s niece.

Soon, Tigmanshu Dhulia took a sigh of relief and posted another tweet revealing that his niece is safe now. He also mentioned how no numbers came to his help and he had to do some ‘jugaad’ to call the cops. He wrote:

“Thank you all for responding I am really great full no help line numbers worked but eventually like in india Jugaad kiya and cops came she is safe now thanks again guys.”

In another tweet, he thanked the police and slammed the railway ministry as no helpline numbers came to his help. He wrote:

“I want to thank the police and the concerned department for responding quickly but I would still say that the helpline numbers were of no use thank you all for the support from the bottom of my heart.”
