Kangana Ranaut, the ‘Panga’ actress, has lashed out on Deepika Padukone for her insensitive video and has asked her to apologize to the acid attack victims for hurting their feelings.
Well, recently while promoting her recently released movie Chhapaak, Deepika Padukone went overboard and appeared in a promotional ‘TikTok’ video for her movie, for which she has been criticized for being insensitive.
In the video, Deepika Padukone set about a challenge for a TikTok makeup artist to recreate three of her favorite ‘looks’ from her 3 movies, including the look of Malti in Chhapaak, who is an acid attack survivor played by her in the movie.
Here, watch the video:

Her calling the tragedy of an acid attack survivor her ‘favorite look’ had left the Twitterati disappointed and angry.
Recently, in an interview, Kangana Ranaut opened up about the same video and revealed how her sister Rangoli, who is also an acid attack survivor was hurt after seeing the video. Kangana said:
“Rangoli is an acid attack survivor and she was very hurt seeing the video. I am sure Deepika must have an explanation for that why and how, what circumstances, because sometimes marketing teams plan things in a way and we don’t have time to go exactly into the depths of that,”

Demanding an apology from Deepika Padukone, Kangana said that Deepika should apologize to all the acid attack survivors who are hurt just like her sister. She said:
“The people who are hurt like my sister should be apologised to. This is not a make-up look and nobody should try and achieve it. That kind of insensitivity should be apologised for and there is no harm in doing that because we all make mistakes.”
Talking about her upcoming movie, ‘Panga’ is directed by Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari. The story of the movie revolves around a Kabaddi player, who is now a mother and wants to make a comeback to the game after motherhood. Besides Kangana Ranaut, the movie also features Neena Gupta, Richa Chadha, and Jassie Gill in prominent roles. Panga is slated to hit the theatres on 24th January.
