The ace actor Amir Khan isn’t someone who is very spry on the modern-day platforms of communicating with the fans. He rarely attends award shows and is hardly active on Social Media. Even though he joined Twitter back in 2009 itself, he has tweeted only around 800 tweets in all these years & seldom replies to his fans.
Despite all these, there has been no labefaction on his charismatic personality and fanbase. The 54-year-old is still one of the most loved actors in India. He has 25.4 million followers on Twitter, around 2 million on Instagram, and is liked by almost 15 million people on Facebook.
However, as we all know, stardom is like a double-edged sword. What follows all the love of fans and aficionados, is the hate, outrage & trolls which the stars keep receiving on a daily basis. Aamir is also no different and the PK-actor also gets trolled for several things.
Nevertheless, Mr. Perfectionist of B-town is of the opinion that these trolls are something which does not deserve much attention. In a recent interview with the Hindustan Times, the actor said that he is fine with criticism until they are constructive and sensible but gets irritated once they cross their limits. In simple words, he doesn’t pay much attention to the negativity he receives and doesn’t let it affect his performance on the screen.
“If someone is just making fun of me or attacking me for no reason, I don’t bother. Aise hi arbitrary log negative bol rahe hain, usse mujhse kucch farak nahi padta aur main uss par respond bhi nahi karta. If someone gives me criticism, which is constructive, I take it seriously because that’s where I am learning. As an actor and a creative person, it helps me learn and grow,” the versatile actor was quoted saying by Hindustan Times.
Concluding this topic, Aamir said, “When people appreciate my work, it makes me feel nice. I understand what they’ve understood in the film, how they’ve perceived the character; they describe it and it’s a happy feeling that my work connected with them. Even at times when people say they don’t like my work and describe what they didn’t like, it helps me to improve myself. So, I am all for sensible criticism.”
The Thugs of Hindustan actor, further opened up about his activity on the Social Media platform Instagram. After a long wait, Aamir had joined Instagram in 2018 and is currently having about 2 million followers. Giving a reason for his late debut, the lad explained, “To be quite honest, I am a person who is in my own world half the time. So, I am not very often there on social media platforms. You can say I am not very communicative on social media. For me, that’s the most important form of communication. Whether it’s through my films or (TV show) Satyameva Jayate or through Paani Foundation, the communication that I do through my work is what counts.”
The veteran actor’s next project is Laal Singh Chaddha, wherein, he is playing the role of a Punjabi guy. The movie will be released on Christmas, 2020.
