Days after she received praises from all corners for her acting and choosing a sensitive subject with Chhapaak when the trailer was launched, Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone, was brutally slammed by Netizens for her recent visit to Jawaharlal Nehru University in Delhi where the actress stood in solidarity with the students of the university after a masked mob attack.
Her one step turned the tables for her and soon the hashtag “#BoycottChhapaak” started trending on social media, which was flooded with tweets and posts slamming the actress on her visit to JNU. Following which the movie failed miserably to work at the box-office.
For the last few weeks, the actress is super-busy with the promotions of her movie. From attending events, shows to hosting several press conferences, the actress has been doing a lot to promote her movie. Deepika Padukone even featured in many TikTok videos with popular TikTok celebrities and the videos of which have been going viral since then.
However, one of her ‘TikTok’ videos hasn’t gone well with the Twitterati, who are now slamming and bashing her left, right and center for ‘mocking’ the acid attack victims.
Well, in the viral video, Deepika Padukone can be seen giving a challenge to everyone to copy her 3 favorite looks from her movies. Besides Om Shanti OM and Piku, Deepika says the ‘Chhapaak’ look is her favorite one. Her calling the tragedy of an acid attack survivor her ‘favorite look’ has angered the Twitterati.
The sufferings and agony of the acid attacks victim cannot be compared with the ‘make-up’ look and doing so is an insult to all the acid-attack victims.
Here watch the video:
And just when we thought that @deepikapadukone couldn’t mock Lakshmi anymore through her PR stunts in JNU she comes up with tick tok challenge on acid attack victims. Gross. pic.twitter.com/077Uz7hcEg

WTF, is an Acid Attack Victim Look? 🤦🏼♂🤷🏼♂
— Vikrant ~ विक्रांत (@vikrantkumar) January 18, 2020
Who does this!!! Its clear that all the crocodile tears she shed during the promotion of the film was all fake…its just another film to her no emotions or empathy involved at all…just an end to make more money. What a vile thing this is…I have lost all respect for her now.
— Susmita Das Nandy (@Susmitaz) January 18, 2020
Disgraceful. You are mocking acid attack victims.
It’s not just the facial skin they loose, but their confidence, self respect, adolescence, aspirations, dreams etc all are burnt.
For you it might be a makeup stunt, for victims it’s a nightmare.
— Hersh Vir Azad (@azad_hersh) January 18, 2020
Deepika what are you smoking these days? Seriously wtf? Do a film where you deliberately changed name and religion of the acid attack perpetrator, anti-CAA & NRC protest and now this? Have you lost it or what? Sister I used to like you but you’re dead to me. Nomore of your films!

On one side she appreciates ban on selling acid in states to stop acid attack on women and on the other side, she challenges everyone to make up like acid victim Laxmi agarwal to promote her movie.
Purely Double standards.#hypocrisykiseema

Like Chhapakk is not just a sound.. them Scars are not just make up..
Seems like Deepika understands only the profitability & PR of the subject and not the pain, anguish, complexes and gravitas of the matter!
— KyaChallaHai!?! (@ChallaHai) January 18, 2020
Honestly I still didn’t care when almost everyone was mocking her for JNU saga, but now this is utterly disrespectful & ignorant on her part. Shame!

Someone pl send her to mental asylum. She has gone mad after #Chhapaak failed to do well at box office.
— Prateek Jain ‘जैनसाहब’ (@PrateekJain28) January 18, 2020
You are mocking her unknowingly by doing this…..you can remove the makeup later on and become normal but she can’t …stop this please
— Ash (@Ash_0588) January 18, 2020
Deepika, i knew you had no soul while standing shoulder to shoulder with Tukde Tukde gang. Now you have proven you have NO HEART too!!! An easier way for that fuckng make up artist to get the ‘Laxmi look’: Send a friend request to Nadeem Khan!

@deepikapadukone very derogatory & insulting to acid attack victims. You may be entitled & privileged but don’t forget that the same people who make your career graph rise will shatter it in no time. You will realize when something unpleasant happens to you.

Haven’t you learnt a lesson still.. even after people boycotted chapak… What sort of dumbo are you??
— Vikram Prabha (@VikramPrabha3) January 18, 2020
