Global Chef Faces Heat From Angry Indians After He Insults ‘Sambhar-Vada’ On Twitter

Gordan Ramsay, ace chef and television presenter, who is known for his brilliance in cooking and for his sharp tongue, recently faced heat for insulting famous Indian dish “Medu Vada Sambhar” on Twitter.

A twitter user named Rameez, took to his Twitter and asked the chef to rate his food “Medu Vada Sambhar with nariyal chutney”, which is a popular South Indian dish. The user wrote:

“please rate my medu vada sambar and nariyal chutney”

However, just like how he insults most of the twitter users do to invite hilarious reactions from the celebrity chef, this time as well, the chef came up with a hilarious tweet but this time it turned out to be unsavory.

Insulting the popular South Indian dish, the chef wrote:

“I didn’t know you can tweet from prison”

Obviously his reply didn’t go down well with his Indian followers, who slammed him left and right. The dig was possibly made at the utensil on which the dish was served but the dig rubbed the Indian fans in the wrong way. Angry reactions surfaced in no time.
