However, there are many renowned names, who don’t like attending these award shows as they believe that these award shows are biased enough to ignore their performances.

1. Aamir Khan:
One of the finest actors of Bollywood, Aamir Khan is fondly called Mr. Perfectionist because of his amazing performances and acting skills. The actor never attends award functions. It has been more than a decade since Aamir Khan made an appearance in any award show.
As per the reports, the reason behind the same is that Aamir Khan was once expecting the best actor award for himself for the movie Rangeela, however, the award was won by SRK for his incredible performance in DDLJ. After that incident, Aamir never made an appearance in award shows.
2. Emraan Hashmi:
Emraan Hashmi has given a number of hit and blockbuster movies, during his career, however, he is rarely seen in any award ceremony. In an interview, Hashmi was asked about his absence from the award shows, responding to which, Emraan said that he’d be glad to pass on his award to someone else. For him, his fans and audience’s appreciations matter the most and he also puts a condition forward to attend these award shows is that he must be paid to attend one.
3. Kangana Ranaut:
Though she used to attend award shows earlier, but it has been a long time since she stopped visiting these award ceremonies. As per Kangana, she is the best and is very different from those who receive the awards and accolades. She also doesn’t believe in these awards.
4. Akshay Kumar:
‘Khiladi Kumar’ is one of the most loved actors of Bollywood. Though he used to attend these award functions earlier, but soon he decided to not attend these shows after he received an award himself. He returned that award and claimed that he wasn’t actually deserving and there were better choices for the award.
5. Nawazuddin Siddiqui:
One of the most versatile actors of Bollywood, Nawazuddin Siddiqui stays away from these award shows and gives importance to his audience review.
6. Ajay Devgn:
Ajay Devgn is one of the biggest names in the industry. However, he is never seen attending any award shows. He believes that these award shows are just money-making tactics and are unfair too. He also believes that these awards are given as concerned to profit and are merely about talent.
7. Sridevi:
Late actress Sridevi used to attend award shows, however, she gave up on award shows after a betrayal. It happened after the late actress was promised to be awarded the best actress award for her performance in the movie ‘English Vinglish’, however, the jury changed the decision last moment. Following this, the actress was very upset and angry.
8. Sunny Deol:
One of the biggest names of his time, Sunny Deol stopped going to award shows after he was sidelined for the Best Actor Award for his movie ‘Border’, however, SRK was given the award for his performance in the movie ‘Dil Toh Pagal Hai’.
9. John Abraham:
John Abraham is one of the most loved personalities of Indian cinema, however, he is never seen attending any award shows. His views don’t favor these award shows. He made it clear, that these award ceremonies are just an entertainment thing and rarely authentic.
10. Taapsee Pannu:
Taapsee Pannu is one of the most talented and versatile actresses of Bollywood. She stopped appearing on these award shows after she was sidelined even after giving the very best performance in movies like ‘pink’.
