The Indian cricketers, KL Rahul and Hardik Pandya have found themselves in some trouble after the latest episode of Koffee With Karan featuring both of them for the first time on the show.
Well, it were some sexist remarks from Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul that didn’t go down well with the fans of the cricketers and also of the show. Their ugly remarks on the women and confessions, bragging about their lifestyle has created a lot of controversy for them.
The cricketers were brutally trolled and slammed on social media for their sexists remarks. Well, the controversy has now took an ugly turn as both the cricketers were sent the show-cause notice and they will now have to explain themselves by the BCCI and also face suspension with the furore overshadowing the team’s upcoming one-day series, against the Australia, which will take place in Sydney on Saturday.
Now, the skipper of the team, Virat Kohli has finally breaked his silence about the issue.In a pre-game media interaction, Kohli was asked about his thoughts on the controversy, to which he said :
“From the Indian cricket team point of view, any inappropriate comments that are made in that scenario are something that are made in that scenario are something that we definitely don’t support”
He also said that both the cricketers “have understood the magnitude of what’s happened”.
Talking about the outburst that has happened because of their statement, Kohli said :
“Definitely it has to hit hard, they will definitely understand the things that have not gone right.”
He has also said that he does not support such views and that no one else on the team supports these statements either.
Well, we really wish that Hardik and KL Rahul really understand something good from this controversy.
