In India announced the new pay structures which divides the players of India’s men team. While all other players have been divided across 4 pay structures, pacer Mohammad Shami who was in a great form in South Africa has been left out as his name features in none of the categories.
Mohammad Shami has been one great pillar of India’s pace arsenal in the longest format of the game. Mohammad Shami has featured for India in 30 test matches and has scalped 110 wickets. He was sensational in the recently concluded test series in South Africa.
Until last year, Mohammad Shami was the B Grade categories of Indian players earning 1 crore per annum. In the recently concluded IPL auctions he was bought back by the Delhi Daredevils who purchased him for 3 Crores using their right to match card.
The 27 year old pacer was the joint leading wicket taker in the recently concluded test series in South Africa with Kagiso Rabada and Philander. It’s surprising how his name is missing from any of the contracts list revealed by the BCCI.
