Rishabh Pant, the 20-year old batsman received his maiden Test cap from Indian skipper, Virat Kohli ahead of the Trent Bridge encounter against England in the five-match Test series. He became the 291st Indian cricketer to receive the Test match cap.

Rishabh Pant replaced wicket-keeper batsman Dinesh Karthik to make it to the playing XI squad. Ahead of the third of the five match test match, India has already lost two test matches. Indian cricket team is going to make every effort to win the third match.

After two humiliating defeats of Indian cricket team, everyone from legends of this game to the fans, backed Rishabh Pant’s inclusion in the playing XI. He replace Dinesh Karthik, who was struggling hard, he scored just 21 runs in four innings. And now Pant is handed the big responsibility.

Rishabh PAnt made his first-class debut in 2015. He scored 1744 runs in 34 innings with an average of 54.50. Earlier in summer, in unofficial test matches Rishabh Pant went on to score 189 runs 67 balls playing for India A in unofficial Test matches against England Lions and West Indies A.
