After Haider, the jodi of Shahid Kapoor and Shradhha Kapoor are back with another stellar movie “Batti Gul Meter Chalu”. The movie is directed by Shree Narayan Singh whose last directorial “Toilet: Ek Prem Katha” touched many hearts and this time as well, with Batti Gul Meter Chalu, Shree Narayan Singh has brought you a very heart touching story.

Starring Shraddha Kapoor, Shahid Kapoor, Divyendu Sharma and Yami Gautam in lead roles, the movie highlights the problem of inflated bills caused by faulty meters in many parts of India.  In the movie Shahid Kapoor, is playing the role of a lawyer who decides to fight against the electricity company after his friend commits suicide because of inflated electricity bill of 1.5 Lakhs in his name.

“Batti Gul Meter Chalu”, the movie hit the theatres on September 21 and is receiving positive reviews. Although, the movie had a slow start at the Box-Office but the movie is winning hearts.

Today in the morning, the movie critic and trade Analyst, Taran Adarsh took to twitter and revealed the first day collection of the movie at the Box-Office. Here, have a look at the first day collection of the movie revealed by Taran Adarsh :

The movie is going strong at the Box-office and people are loving the performance of Shahid Kapoor in the movie.
